What Do You Actually Stand For?
What do you stand for?

Most people can list what they’ve done in life. Few can clearly define what they truly stand for. This experience is designed to help you uncover the values that genuinely guide your decisions, relationships, and direction in life. Through a series of difficult choices and reflections, your strongest core values will begin to reveal themselves.

The Values Tournament works like a bracket competition – two values face off at a time, and you always pick the one that matters more to you.

Here's how it works:

The Setup: You have 128 values. They're randomly paired into 64 head-to-head matchups.

Each Round: Look at two values side by side and ask yourself: "If I could only honor one of these in my life, which would I choose?" Pick one. That value advances. The other is eliminated.

Keep Going: The winners from each round get paired up again. You repeat this until only four values remain.

The Full Path

  • Round 1: 128 → 64 winners
  • Round 2: 64 → 32 winners
  • Round 3: 32 → 16 winners
  • Round 4: 16 → 8 winners
  • Round 5: 8 → 4 winners

The Only Rule: Don't overthink it. Your gut reaction is usually more honest than your reasoned answer. The discomfort of choosing between two things you love is the whole point -- that tension is where you find out what you actually value most.

This isn't a perfect system -- it's not meant to be. It's meant to be fun and give you something real to work with. Go with your gut, enjoy the process, and don't stress the matchups.

The Wildcard Pick: When the tournament is done, you'll have your top 4 values. But before you finish, you get one wildcard – scroll back through every value that didn't make it and ask yourself if any of them still speaks to you. If one jumps out, add it. You end with 5 values total that feel true to who you are.

Your Free Breakdown: Once you've locked in your 5 values, you can submit them to receive a free personalized breakdown — what each value means, what your combination of values says about you as a person, and how to put them to work in your actual life.
